Giles recounts his Dave dream come true : "Ok, so we all heard Dave talking to 'Tunney' (Michael Tunn) on Triple J last time the Peppers toured Australia, (remember: you're not the only one sweetie?) but how many people actually got thru on the phones? A few managed it and after hitting the redial button approxiamately 200 times, I somehow got thru too, I like to think it was 'meant to be';oP....

I asked Dave what John Frusciante was up to these days as I'm a big fan of both these guys and I didn't think Dave would be pissed about me asking after him as I remembered reading how he admired John's playing in an old issue of Guitarist magazine. He answered enthusiastically which was great and before getting cut off the air I had to ask about getting backstage at the Brisbane gig. I expected an "if I say yes to you I have to say yes to everyone" answer, but no! Dave being the guy he is set it all up for me and I got to meet the guys backstage before the gig and sat on stage for the entire show...can't beat that for the cost of a toll free phone call! "

Dave : I may never have had a real Mc Coy dream about Dave (one I can recall anyway) but his music with Jane's, Decon and the Chippers has sent me on many a magical day dream filled with colour, happiness and a strange sense of hope...having met the guy briefly those day dreams seem alot closer to me than other musically inspired semi-concious journeys.
