Real name: Rachel D. Strickland (My lil Sis Shala is the one in the foreground, I'm in the background.) Nicknames: Posey, Rach, Playa P (oh, and poseygrrl and heliobleu if you're talkin screennames) Email addy: poseygrrl@hotmail.com Country and location: USA, West LA/Santa Monica Age: 23 Occupation: Administrative Assistant Hobbies: travel, reading anything I can get my hands on, SHOPPING!, making silly bands with my friends (We have a punk beatnik band called "Spastic Episodes"!! Haha) Fave Dave song: Well, Jane's-wise, Then She Did is my favorite...and I really like the cover of Venus in Furs...I haven't heard the rest of the Spread stuff on a good enough sounding system to be able to form an educated opinion :) Dream: The funniest dream I've ever had that Dave appeared in featured none other than the Reverend Marilyn Manson himself. In this dream, I met Dave somewhere in Hollywood with a bunch of our friends (you know, all of our "mutual" friends...heehee), and he wanted to introduce me to his friend Marilyn Manson. For some reason, in the dream, I had no clue who this was. Anyway, we met him, and I FELL IN LOVE. HARD. Note: This is very bizarre, as I'm not attracted to Mr. Manson, but hell, it was a dream. Anyway, Manson and I ended up getting an apartment near Dave's house, and it was like this *Den of Sin*. People were partying like mad 24 hours a day, with drugs and whatnot, and Manson and I would sit up in the penthouse suite and just hang out while everyone trashed the place downstairs. Next thing we know, some drug dealers bust in and start stabbing Manson. I freak out, trying to fight them, and crying because I'm SO IN LOVE. (Manson even took out that weird contact lense thing in his eye because it disturbed me, and HE LOVED ME.) Dave came in, saved the day, took Manson to his house and fixed him up...apparently Dave's a medical whiz. He stitched Manson all up, and then we had a big party at Dave's house, and Manson and I were STILL in love. Strange dream...and rather disturbing. Dave: Very simply, Dave rocks. He's a fabulous musician, Adonis-like in appearance (okay, that might be stretching it, but I wanted to say "adonis"), wildly amusing, and from my experience, an all-around nice guy. I really admire the way he's turned his life around, and the way he kept going, even in the face of tragedy. That part really helped me when several bad things happened in my life, and especially when my sister was killed. I figured if this kid from LA can go through hell and back and still become the amazingly successful man he is today, I can definitely do it too!!! So, thanks Dave. For everything. |
