Real Name: Teresa (with Buckybunny in the booth) Nicknames: a.k.a."Tinkerpot", "Tink" Email addy: teapot27@hotmail.com Country and location: the US of A, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Age: 26yrs (05/27/72) Occupation: Artist Hobbies: helping my boyfriend with music related projects:), playing drums, creating things, baking sweet stuff, cooking, cotton candy, playing bingo (i'm lucky sometimes), sleeping A LOT, and of course Spread related stuff;) Fave Dave song: (Jane's) "Three Days" -The most emotionally and musically epic song I've ever heard in my life. (Spread) "Hungry" Dream: I'm in a stripclub and I'm poor and desperate for money...this is the first night I'm working in this place...I get on stage...started dancing as I notice that all I have on is a black tuxedo jacket...as the song ends, I've only halfway unbuttoned the jacket (so no one saw anything), I get off stage and the manager tells me how impressed he is that I was "original enough to tease the audience through a whole song without showin' skin"???...I rush into this alley and dig to find some clothes in a bunch of cardboard boxes that all my belongings are in... suddenly I hear a live band with what sounds like Dave singing...I peek my head around the corner and it IS Dave w/a band having this big rock show (on the same stage I was just on)...so I walk in to watch and suddenly they finish their set and run out of the club (as to avoid crazy fans attacking)...I walk over to a table with some Spread fans that are all doped up and ask if Spread usually plays there and if they always just up and run like that ...one of the people at the table (that looks a lot like the guy in Hole) says all slurred... "yeah, they're always here doing that"....(That's the end...incredible stupid, I know, but the only dream I remember with Dave in it.) Story: Because I have a friend that saw the Relapse tour in LA, I was lucky enough to be "clued in" that there could be an acoustic stage at the show I would see in Atlanta. One of my bestfriends, Heidi, came in from Louisiana to see the show. You see, Heidi is my lucky charm...but that's later. Anyway, upon arriving to the International Ballroom (freezing our butts off) I noticed three things: 1. The local cheeserock station was "sponsoring" the show...99x sucks. 2. We were too short to see the main stage. 3. An acoustic stage!!! Well, after trying fruitlessly to weasel our way to the front I pleaded that we hang around the (then empty) acoustic stage area. When we got there, Heidi recognized Flea's bass, so we were then pretty sure we were in the right spot for something special. Of course, the band made it's way to the stage and (who else) but Dave was standing right above us. The acoustic set was great, although I almost went deaf from girls screaming in my ear. At the end, (back to Heidi's luck) Dave reaches over and places his drum sticks in Heidi's hands. I practically had an elbow permanently lodged in my back (from the pushing) and Heidi threatened to give the guy that was trying to grab the sticks from her a good "racking of his balls" if he didn't stop. Painful moment...but funny. Dave was really nice to have done that. As for the sticks, Heidi was kind enough to give one to me. I made her sign the stick since she is the luckiest person I know & because I wanted that "luck" of hers to rub off on me somehow (especially on my obsession with drums). Thanks Dave! :) Dave : I guess I'd have to say that I appreciate Dave's openness, sense of humor, and sensitivity....most of all...the sharing of his creative and human journey with all of us. |
