Part of
the Bloomsbury Paperbacks series, it's a slim volume,
essentially a chapter book, but well worth tracking down.
To review it too intensely would be to tell the whole
story, but essentially it's the tale of a TV writer who's
researching Victorian murderers for a series he's writing
called Decades of Death. His paranoia overtakes him and
climaxes hilariously with a trip to the
laundrette.
