Withnail for Waterford Richard E. Grant, star of the film "Withnail and I" recently organised a fundraising screening of this classic cult movie, to raise funds for the Waterford-Kamhlaba school. It was held on Monday February 7th, 2000 at the Odeon West-End in London's Leicester Square and was a fantastic night for all who attended. Myself included. The original cast (Richard E. Grant, Paul McGann, Ralph Brown, Richard Griffiths), director and writer (Bruce Robinson) were present, as well as a plethora of stars and celebrities. A new print of the film "Withnail and I" was screened followed by a question & answer session with the cast and crew, and after show party at HOME nightclub. Unfortunately Bruce had to leave early with toothache, but sat on stage and signed stuff for the charity and seemed to be enjoying himself and how well his film was received, even ten years later.
